From one mom to another, I see you, and you’re not alone.
Hey there, Mama,
I know you’re out there, and I know you’re feeling it—the exhaustion, the endless nights, the whispers of doubt creeping in. I know because I’ve been there, too. Right now, you might feel like you’re swimming upstream, barely keeping your head above water. And while it feels like the world is moving on around you, here you are, rocking, feeding, and soothing this little soul who relies on you for everything.
First, let me say this: you are not alone. And more importantly, you’re doing so much better than you think.
I know there are days when you wonder if you can keep going, days when it feels like you’re giving everything you have and it’s still not enough. You might feel invisible in the quiet hours of the night, questioning if anyone could ever truly understand how heavy the weight is on your shoulders. But from where I stand, all I see is strength. I see a woman showing up, time and time again, for a love deeper than words.
Motherhood is beautiful, yes, but it can also be painfully lonely. And here’s the truth they don’t often tell us: sometimes, even when you’re surrounded by people, this journey still feels like something only you can carry. The endless questions, the self-doubt, and that nagging feeling that maybe you’re missing something everyone else seems to get—it’s all part of the journey.
But here’s another truth: you are exactly the mom your baby needs. In every moment of doubt, every late-night feed, every quiet tear you shed, you’re showing up as their mom. And that? That’s everything.
If I could, I’d come over with a warm blanket, take that sweet baby from your arms, and tell you to rest. I’d let you know that you are seen and valued, that what you’re doing is more than enough. But since I can’t, let me tell you something important right here: don’t be afraid to ask for help. Reach out to the friends, family, or even neighbors who have said, “Let me know if you need anything.” Those words are often more genuine than they sound.
And if help feels out of reach, then take comfort in this: you’re building something beautiful right now, even on the hardest days. Every rock, every hum, every bleary-eyed smile is a gift that only you can give your little one. Your love is building a foundation for someone who will grow up knowing they are loved deeply, all because you poured every bit of yourself into them.
I won’t promise it’ll all get easier tomorrow, but I will tell you this: the hard moments will become memories one day, and the strength you’re building now will be a part of you forever. One day, you’ll be able to look back and say, “I did that. I made it through.” And the love, the resilience, and the growth that comes with it? That stays.
So here’s my promise to you, sweet Mama: I’m here, cheering you on with all my heart, as someone who’s been there, who is currently there and who knows what it’s like. You’re stronger than you feel right now. And you are never, ever alone.
With all the love in the world,
A Sister Who Sees You💗
